5 Bachelorette Party Ideas in Stockholm

Stockholm is one of the best cities in the world for a bachelorette party, and also one of the easiest to default-plan. Brunch, spa, dinner, bar. Nothing wrong with that loop, but most groups walk away remembering it as a good weekend, not the bachelorette. What turns a bachelorette into something the bride still talks about a year later isn't the budget or the Instagram angles. It's choosing activities that absorb the mix of energies in a real group: the pregnant one, the hungover one, the shy plus-one. Here are five Stockholm options that earn that.

1. Private SUP yoga and sauna at Sickla Strand

Yoga on a paddleboard sounds slightly mad, and that is exactly why it works for a bachelorette. Everyone laughs, no one has to perform, and nobody needs prior yoga experience. The boards are wide and stable, the whole session is taught in English, and a lakeside sauna is built into every booking so there is a natural cool-down to actually talk afterwards. 3. Swedish cooking class at AVEQIA

Cooking works for bachelorettes because everyone has something to do with their hands, which takes the pressure off having to be "on". AVEQIA is the default for private groups in Stockholm, 10 to 140 people in private kitchen-dining rooms with a three- or four-course menu guided by chefs. No one needs to know how to cook beforehand. Swedish Taste in Kungsholmen runs a smaller, more intimate version with seasonal menus and wine courses if you want something closer to a dinner party than an event.

4. Cocktail masterclass with Bartendrr or Moyagi

Bartendrr brings the bar to you, full equipment, ingredients, ice, glassware, and a bartender who walks the group through two or three signature cocktails over 1.5 to 2 hours. Low social cost of entry, everyone has a drink in their hand within ten minutes. Moyagi is the venue alternative if you would rather not host, their masterclass pairs cocktail craft with an Asian sharing menu in a hidden bar with karaoke rooms next door if the night escalates.

5. Wine tasting with Grus Grus or Nolea

Grus Grus in Vasastan (not Gamla Stan, despite the cobblestone-friendly name) takes private group bookings and tastings, focused on natural and small-producer wines. If you want something more tailored that comes to you, Nolea is run by a WSET-3 sommelier and will host at your Airbnb, a wine cellar in Östermalm, or a hunter's cabin in Enskede. 1.5 to 2 hours from around 5 000 SEK. Best used as a calm bookend to a more active morning, not the peak of the day.
